more designs and "drarwins"

Hey hey, another post of "drarwins"... I just did these for a family member. She needed a lion character for an army pamphlet. I think I am now officially working for the US military-- i'm can't tell you who killed Kennedy though, yet.

Yeah, so this is my sort of generic lion i came up with. It needs some major refining but it's a real quick first pass at designing a character they'll like. We'll see i guess-- does anyone else hate drawing boots? I sure do!

Anyway, thought you'd enjoy seeing these! take it easy!

Wowzers. Those are great!

Matt, could you talk a little bit about developing your drawing skills? Is there any instructors that had a big influence on you? Any advice other than, "Draw everyday"?

Your work looks so dimensional, yet has great 2D clarity, I'm consistantly inspired to do better and work harder, but sometimes it seems like a unnatainable goal.

You're like one of those men that offer candy to school kids out of their car. I'm thinking "it probably wouldn't be in my best interest to join the army....but then again, those are some awfully nice sketches!" Good Job!

Jeremy: Thanks man!
St. John: Trust me, you would not want me in a battle zone! thanks for stopping by!
Bill: I'll do a tutorial on drawing sometime soon, until then check out Mark Kennedy's blog. http://sevencamels.blogspot.com/ He's been doing some very good and simple tutorials on drawing.
Ali: Shoes suck--

thanks guys!
Chris: Sadly I don't think much of anything is going o happen with them. I just got word that the army would rather go with "clip art" to save money instead of "generic lion" drawings. thanks for being interested though!
